DAB and DAB+ - what´s the difference?
DAB+ is the advancement of DAB. DAB+ offers more possibilities for listeners and radio companies. The technical difference: both standards use different methods to process audio data ahead and after transmission. While DAB works with MPEG-1 Layer -2 DAB+ uses MPEG-4 HE-AAC v 2, currently world-wide the most efficient technology to compress data.
