Additional services- what does that mean?

The new DAB+ standard is not only able to transmit and broadcast audio but also data like text, pictures and so-called "interactive elements" enabling radio providers to offer a classic radio programme AND multimedia services and data - (PAD = Programme-Associated Data) and (NPAD=Non-Programme-Associated Data) - linked with them.
